Está patente no Centro de Interpretação das Linhas de Torres, em Sobral de Monte Agraço, até 31 de março de 2023, parte da exposição INVASÕES - Uma nova maneira de aprender história, criada pelo ModelStep. Integram esta exposição temporária quatro maquetes ou dioramas que merecem um olhar atento, designadamente: o Combate de Sobral, que decorreu na vila entre as tropas aliadas e as tropas francesas do VIII Corpo, comandadas por Jean-Andoche Junot; o Forte da Caneira, que batia a estrada de Santo Quintino até aos lugares de Caneira e Pontes de Monfalim; uma das dez Estações Ópticas de Comunicações das Linhas; e uma canhoneira. Os dioramas expostos têm por base um modelismo artístico e tridimensional que possibilita uma melhor interpretação de lugares e acontecimentos históricos. Segundo o ModelStep, “Captar a atenção dos mais novos para a nossa história é deixá-los observar, focar e imaginar. Os dioramas têm a capacidade de fazer parar, olhar, aprender”

The exhibition is on display at the Interpretation Centre of the Lines of Torres Vedras, in Sobral de Monte Agraço, until March 31, 2023, as part of the exhibition INVASIONS - A new way of learning history, created by ModelStep. This temporary exhibition includes four models, or dioramas, that deserve a close look, namely: the Battle of Sobral, which took place in the village between the Allied troops and the French troops of the VIII Corps, commanded by Jean-Andoche Junot; Forte da Caneira, which covered the road from Santo Quintino to the places of Caneira and Pontes de Monfalim; one of the ten Optical Communications Stations on the Lines; and the setting of an artillery piece. The dioramas on display are based on an artistic and three-dimensional model that allows a better interpretation of historical places and events. According to ModelStep, “Capturing the attention of young people to our history is to let them observe, focus and imagine. Dioramas have the ability to make you stop, look, learn”.
